Dr. Ghosh was selected as Fellow of the Television Academy (TVA), the organization that awards the Emmys. As part of the Fellowship, she attended a nine-day seminar in Hollywood. It was funded by the TVA. In all, 20 recipients were selected from the entire country.

Dr. Fleche's biolink to publicationDr. Palmer recently published research with her collaborators at the University of California, Davis on the mechanisms of plant growth during the shade avoidance response. Her work utilized the luminescent luciferase enzyme from fireflies to track plant gene expression over time.

While there, she worked at KIMEP University's Language Center where she taught Educational Technology and Applied Linguistics to teachers in the Almaty area.

Dr. Fleche's bioDr. Palmer was awarded a $25,000 pilot grant through the Vermont Genetics Network (VGN) to fund her research in molecular biology. Along with her grant, she will bring in approximately $7,000 of student funding and $10,000 of additional funds to the university.
Dr. Palmer's BioProfessors Andrew Vermilyea and Richard Clark were awarded $288,145 as part of a National Science Foundation EPSCoR grant titled, 'Basin Resilience to Extreme Events (BREE)'. The entire BREE award totals over $20 million. The project is in collaboration with the University of Vermont over the next five years to study the impacts of the increasing number of strong storm events that influence water quality in the Lake Champlain Basin. This work includes on-the-ground scientific research all the way up to informing environmental policy in Vermont.

Dr. Palmer recently published her postdoctoral work on utilizing innovative imaging and computational systems to analyze large numbers of plants simultaneously. This work was a close collaboration between her work at the University of California, Davis and researchers at Kansas State University.
